The Ask
Our customer was tasked with developing a comprehensive driving simulator system to be designed. Metis Europe was tasked to create an immersive training experience for both drivers and backup crews in vehicle operations.
This involved integrating advanced software and hardware components into a bespoke full motion platform. The system was intended to deliver a realistic and immersive training environment that to meet the diverse needs of drivers and backup crew members.
The Challenge
The major challenges in developing a comprehensive simulation system lies in achieving seamless integration between the advanced software and hardware components.
The challenge here is ensuring that these diverse technological elements synchronise effectively. Replication of a realistic and immersive training environment can be complex. Also accurately replicating various vehicle functionalities within the simulator poses further hurdles in creating a truly comprehensive training experience.
